If you're interested in Scala, you should not miss this opportunity. On
November 14 & 15th, we will be holding two days of talks focused entirely
on Scala. Come hear what real users and contributors to this language have
to say and get your questions answered. We welcome seasoned members of the
community, newcomers who just want to survey the field, and everyone in
between.

You'll get the opportunity to see Avi Bryant walk through Brushfire a
framework for distributed, supervised learning of ensembles of decision
trees; follow Helena Edelson and Evan Chan down the big data rabbit hole on
a journey with Scala’s functional foundations, Spark, Cassandra, and Akka;
and take a skeptic’s look at scalaz’ “Gateway Drugs” with Brendan McAdams.
