Next Monday, December 9th, we're having a full day of the Scaled Agile Framework.

See http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12 for more information and to register.
The day's schedule is (all times PST):
8:00am- 9:00am An Executive Overview of SAFe<http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12#exec-overview-SAFe>
9:30am-10:30am What You Must Attend to to Achieve Agile at Scale: And How SAFe Does<http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12#SAFe-implements>
11:00am-12:00pm The SAFe Architectural Runway<http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12#SAFe-arch-runway>
12:30pm- 1:30pm SAFe Kanban<http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12#SAFe-kanban>
2:00pm- 3:00pm SAFe Q&A<http://www.netobjectives.com/events/day-of-scaled-agile-framework-webinars-2013-12#SAFe-QA>

Although the day was designed for those interested in SAFe, most of the talks will be of use to anyone doing Agile at scale. In particular:

* The first half of An Executive Overview explains the challenges of scaling and what you have to attend to

* What You Must Attend to to Achieve Agile at Scale: And How SAFe Does discusses the nature of Agility at scale and is useful for anyone

* The SAFe Architectural Runway is mostly about architecture at scale (with a few SAFe dependent ideas thrown in)

* SAFe Kanban is a great introduction to Kanban and discusses how Kanban can be used by shared services teams to support other teams
Of course, if you are interested in SAFe, this is the equivalent of a free day of training on it - albeit, not as good as our live training. As always, these webinars are free and will be recorded for later viewing.

Detail is:
Title|Time|Description

Intended for|Why Useful even if you are not interested in SAFe|Prerequisite

An Executive Overview of SAFe Register<https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/740770873> 8:00am-9:00am PST This explains why an holistic, end-to-end and top-to-bottom view of an organization must be included in any attempt to effectively bring Agile across the enterprise. It then provides an overview of SAFe from an executive's perspective. In particular, it describes how a company's portfolio, programs and teams must relate to each other to be effective.

This is intended for anyone new to SAFe. The first half is useful even for those familiar with SAFe as it explains how the disconnect between value streams and company management hierarchies create serious challenges at scale. Even if you are not interested in SAFe, the first half of this webinar will be useful because it illustrates challenges everyone will have in achieving Agile at Scale.

No Prerequisite

What You Must Attend to to Achieve Agile at Scale: And How SAFe Does Register<https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/428442089> 9:30am-10:30pm PST Net Objectives has been assisting companies to achieve Agile at scale for almost a decade. There are activities and mindset for achieving Agile at scale - what we call the Lean-Agile Framework<http://www.netobjectives.com:8080/net-objectives-lean-agile-framework>. SAFe works because it attends to these. This webinar discusses what it takes to be effective at scale and how SAFe achieves this

This is an overview the framework part of the Scaled Agile Framework and is therefore useful for everyone. This webinar discusses the principles to attend to and practices to implement that are required when doing Agile at scale. While slanted towards SAFe's method of implementing these, learning what these are is very useful regardless of approach.

It is suggested that attendees unfamiliar with SAFe watch the Executive Overview of SAFe, but it is not necessary.

The SAFe Architectural Runway Register<https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/236626993> 11:00am-12:00pm PST SAFe is not just a process framework. It lays out the need for an overall architectural view. The SAFe architectural runway discusses how to do large scale architecture in an Agile fashion when different programs are involved and an enterprise view is needed.

This is intended for architects and lead developers. While this webinar is about SAFe's approach to architecture, it provides insights into how to manage architecture across an enterprise working with Agile methods. The architectural runway is not SAFe specific but is useful for any organization that has architectural issues that span development/IT areas.

It is suggested that attendees unfamiliar with SAFe watch the Executive Overview of SAFe, but it is not necessary.

SAFe Kanban Register<https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/617195984> 12:30pm-1:30pm PST SAFe suggests using Scrum at the team level but doesn't preclude the use of Kanban. For many teams in a large organization, Kanban will prove to be a better team approach. This webinar is both an introduction to Kanban and a description of how to use it within SAFe. It also provides insights into how shared service teams can use Kanban within SAFe to best coordinate with the needs of the teams they are working with.

This is intended for team leads, project managers, Scrum Masters and anyone now doing Kanban with questions how it would fit in with SAFe. Kanban has proven to be a useful tool in virtually all companies. The concepts learned in this webinar will be useful whether you are implementing SAFe or not.

No perquisite.

SAFe Q&A Register<https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/284200857> 2:00pm-3:00pm PST Have questions about SAFe? This is a perfect opportunity to get them questioned by Al Shalloway, a thought leader in SAFe, Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean and Agile Architecture. Feel free to email them in before the event.

This is intended for people considering whether they should use SAFe or not.

Should attend webinars above that relate to what your questions are.

Hope to 'see' you there.
